Why are we here? What is God’s ultimate plan for us? Scripture has it that “it is not to angels that He has subjected the world to come” (Hebrews 2:5), and that “angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation” (Hebrews 1:14). Paul wrote that “our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18) and that “creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed” (Romans 8:19). So whenever we’re troubled, just look up to the skies and ponder on God’s wonderful plan for us. And realize that our temporal existence is merely the beginning of great things yet to come.
